We’ve introduced a new capability to make your cluster operations smoother and more predictable: Scheduled Upgrades for our Managed Kubernetes service.

As a DevOps engineer, you know that staying on supported Kubernetes versions is essential - not just for security patches, but also for ensuring compatibility with the wider CNCF ecosystem. But planning and executing upgrades across environments can be a chore, especially when your running many Kubernetes Clusters.

Upgrade on Your Terms

With Scheduled Upgrades, you define when upgrades happen. No more surprises or urgent patches outside of business hours. You can:

  • Define maintenance windows that suit your deployment cycle
  • Avoid production downtime by planning during off-peak hours
  • Keep up with security and upstream updates - without it becoming a chore

How It Works

You can set an upgrade schedule per Kubernetes cluster via the Thalassa Cloud API, Terraform or the web UI. Once defined, upgrades will automatically be applied during your selected window. Our platform ensures that all control plane components are updated safely, and you can coordinate your workloads accordingly.

This feature is especially useful if you manage multiple clusters and want to maintain consistent versions across the board—without having to babysit upgrades.
